Storytelling through sound, voice, and visual art!
This interactive, group session will focus on creating a Metaphorical Sound & Voicescape, which is based on piece of visual art that is used to create a mythical/ imagined story.
Together we will translate the artwork and story into sound, using a range of different therapeutic instruments and vocal techniques.
What to expect
We’ll start with vocal exercises, warm-ups, and rhythm games to bring the group together. Then, we'll collaborate to create a mythical/ imagined story based on the image provided by me, .
I will provide a selection of beautiful and therapeutic instruments for you to explore and play. These instruments are easy to use and include percussion, frame drums, Himalayan bowls, chimes, and more.
In the final part of the session, we’ll play the soundscape we've created, using a variety of instruments and vocal techniques.
No musical, singing, or artistic skill/ experience is required—this is all about how it feels to immerse ourselves in the joy of free expression and presence!
