Meaningful Connection, through music!
Together we create a shared pulse using simple, accessible drumming activities.
We build rhythms as a group, explore improvisation, experiment and discover what becomes possible when everyone contributes their own unique beat.
You don't need to know any rhythms or read music. Whether you're picking up a drum for the first time or have been making music for years, the invitation is the same: listen, respond, explore and create together.
There's no pressure to perform or get it “right” — just the experience of making music together in the moment.
All frame drums and percussion instuments are provided, although you're very welcome to bring your own!

Making music together at our summer Drumming Circle at Plot 9
What to expect
We begin gently, arriving through breath and body awareness before easing into simple rhythm games that help us connect with the drums and with each other.
From there, we'll explore guided rhythms, listening, layering and improvisation, gradually building energy and finding our groove together.
Along the way, we'll weave in moments of mindful listening and conscious breathing, allowing the rhythm to help us arrive fully in the present moment.
sometimes weave in other elements of sound and optional voice — singing bowl, chimes, percussion, humming or toning — inviting different textures and ways of connecting into the circle.
There are energetic moments, playful moments and quieter moments too. We may soften into deep listening, stillness or spaciousness before building again.
Everything is an invitation. You're welcome to participate in whatever way feels right for you.
